The 18 Sports List has published a Top 10 countdown identifying the best local football coaches in the history of the Elmira-Corning region.
Elmira, NY, October 28, 2026 —
The 18 Sports List has published a Top 10 countdown of local football coaches in the history of the Elmira-Corning region. The countdown identifies those it considers the region’s best coaches, according to the available summary.
The names of the coaches, their rankings and the reasons for their inclusion were not provided. The summary also does not state when the countdown was published or whether it explains how the list was assembled. Without those details, the selection criteria and the distinctions among the coaches cannot be assessed.
The available information describes the subject and format of the feature but does not provide biographical, team or season details about the coaches. It also does not identify the publication’s intended definition of “local” or specify the geographic boundaries used for the Elmira-Corning region. No individual coaching records or other supporting statistics were included in the summary.
As a result, the announcement establishes that a Top 10 list is available, but offers no detail about its entries or supporting rationale. The list’s full contents, ranking order, publication date and methodology were not provided. Further information about those points would be needed to describe the coaches named and the basis for their placement. This report is limited to the information in the available summary and does not independently assess the countdown’s selections.
