Chapter 380 agreement anchors headquarters relocation to Hurst, with a November 9 groundbreaking for the veteran-founded training organization
HURST, TX, UNITED STATES, November 5, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — A former Hurst fire station is preparing for a new mission: helping military veterans build careers in real estate development and construction project management.
Rehab Warriors will hold a groundbreaking ceremony Monday, November 9, at 10 a.m. at 433 Precinct Line Road, marking the redevelopment of former Fire Station 2 into its new headquarters and veteran training hub. The event takes place two days before Veterans Day.
The project advances a Chapter 380 economic development agreement through which the City of Hurst transferred the former station to Rehab Warriors for redevelopment as its headquarters. The agreement connects the reuse of a city asset with a permanent home for an established veteran education and workforce organization.
Founded by U.S. Marine Corps veteran, real estate entrepreneur and former HGTV “Flip or Flop Fort Worth” co-host Andy Williams, Rehab Warriors has trained 250 veterans, with 75 veterans currently in different stages of training. Veterans across 14 states have chosen Rehab Warriors for their education, demonstrating the organization’s reach beyond North Texas.
Led by Williams and Vice President of Education Shareese Blakley, the team has navigated state and federal regulatory requirements to secure Department of Labor apprenticeship registration, Texas Workforce Commission career school licensing and Department of Veterans Affairs education and training approvals.
“This building served Hurst through generations of public service. We’re giving it a second mission,” said Williams. “Veterans bring leadership, accountability and experience making decisions under pressure. Our job is to help them translate those strengths into careers managing projects and leading in real estate and construction. Hurst has made a tangible commitment to that work.”
“This redevelopment project brings together two meaningful aspects: supporting veterans as they build successful civilian careers and revitalizing one of Hurst’s historic buildings,” said Hurst Mayor Henry Wilson. “The former Fire Station 2 served our community for many years, and it’s exciting for the building to be given a new purpose. We are proud to partner with Rehab Warriors and welcome its headquarters to Hurst.”
The new headquarters will support Rehab Warriors’ next stage of growth, providing space for operations, instruction, meetings and project-based learning. The relocation from Fort Worth will establish Hurst as the home base for the organization’s work serving veterans nationwide.
Rehab Warriors’ mission is to connect military experience with industry education, professional credentials and practical learning that veterans can use to build civilian careers. Its training emphasizes planning, budgeting, scheduling and coordinating the people and resources behind successful real estate and construction projects.
At the ceremony, Williams will be joined by Hurst Mayor Henry Wilson and city officials to break ground on the project, marking the partnership between Rehab Warriors and the City of Hurst.
Members of the media and the public are invited to attend.
